Hi!
This is Victor, Briante and Renaldo speaking from Rethink.
And this is Amu from the World Wide Workshop Foundation.
We’re here to tell you about “The Ultimate Lunch Tray.”
Victor: We Rethinkers wanted our voices heard all over the country, so this summer we built an original web game. A group of amazing people helped us: The World Wide Workshop Foundation from New York City.
Amu: The Worldwide Workshop is known for our learning network called Globaloria. It’s a cool online program that invites students and educators to create their own games, websites, wikis and blogs along with others in a networked community.
Renaldo: We made our game to teach children of all ages how to eat healthy and to tell grownups we need fresh local food in our cafeterias. To produce the game, we learned a program called Flash, and I drew pictures of food such as pizza and a cherry.
Briante: “The Ultimate Lunch Tray” is an original idea thought up by a 6th grade Rethinker named Leon. We invested nearly 100 hours over 4 weeks to make this game.
Victor: The Worldwide Workshop launched a new learning network to run our project: MyHLife.org (My Health Life.) We learned so much so fast! Check out our game, our Rethink Community Wiki and all the other stuff below. The game we made is called a prototype – it’s a preview of the longer game we will produce this year.
