What We’ve Done

Summer Program

This summer, we came up with visions for the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Our dream is to heal our schools and our earth. We met every day for six weeks and worked with education experts, artists and activists to create twelve recommendations for change.

We presented our ideas to school officials and the media at our 6th news conference.

We also released our first annual School Food Report, Time to Rethink School Lunch.

We had five other news conferences before this one.

City-Wide Groups

Our city-wide groups meet on weekends during the school year. We’re working on lots of great projects, like writing a graphic novel and designing the school of our dreams.

Rethink Clubs

This fall, we started a new program and grew from 25 to 100 Rethinkers. Seven Rethink clubs meet in six public schools around the city. All of us came together to share our ideas at the first ever Rethink summit in May.
